Preppy can work for any occasion as it is no longer defined by khakis and a polo shirt. I decided to try new kind of prep for this look by pairing my polished collared (thrift store find!) shirt with my distressed white jeans — every outfit needs a little contrast, be it a polished top and distressed bottoms or feminine almond-toed heels with an oversized boyfriend jacket.

This look was perfect for a day at my casual office with the ripped holes in my denim adding an effortless edge that I always try to incorporate into any outfit.
